Perpetual Adoration

"Mindful of the Eucharist as the fountain of life and holiness, we are the community of the Blessed Sacrament Parish."

With this mindfulness, we began perpetual adoration in January of 1997 under the direction of Father John Burnett, who had the Mothers' Chapel remodeled to accommodate both purposes. Since that time, scheduled adorers have come before the Lord in the monstrance and lifted up their hearts in prayer twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, as well as all many other parishioners and visitors. Our mission statement also says, "We will strive to live our lives guided by the Holy Spirit." Through His inspiration we have been able to continue to respond to this call to prayer and recollection as Jesus calls us, "Come to me all you that labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest."

The Blessed Sacrament is exposed for veneration in the chapel of the church from 5:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. for public visitation. Scheduled adorers are praying for all of us between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m.

Please contact the parish office at 528-7521 if you want more information about becoming a scheduled adorer.
