Angel Tree is an outreach program that strives to make the Christmas holiday special for needy families, individuals and organizations. New items suitable for Christmas gifts are requested at the beginning of Advent and sorted and delivered in December. Volunteers with computer skills are needed to make tags for the Christmas trees. Volunteers are needed during the 2nd and 3rd week of December to sort and deliver the Christmas gifts.
Blessed Sacrament parishioners have a well-deserved reputation for being a compassionate and generous group. That was certainly evidenced by the response to the Catholic Charities collection for those in need this past Chris tags. The collected gifts are given to struggling families so that they may "gift" them as they see fit. This photo from Christmas 2017 is quite typical of our good people's generosity over the years. In the words of Tiny Tim, "May God bless us everyone"!
