Some parishioners have received fraudulent texts/emails from scammers pretending to be Father Jeff. This practice began this summer and has recently resumed. Please know that no one at Blessed Sacrament will contact you asking for gift card or money donations. Click on the title above to watch a video from Father Jeff.
Advent is approaching and Blessed Sacrament will again provide Angel Giving Trees, sponsored by Catholic Charities, starting November 21 and 22. Please take a tag off the tree and purchase a gift(s) for a child or two children listed on the tag. Then bring the unwrapped gifts back to the church or church office by December 7th. Donations of wrapping paper are appreciated. Thank you for your acts of love and caring.
To offset the loss of this fundraiser you may put an envelope in the collection marked "St John’s Breadline" and we will see to it that the Breadline gets your donation. There is also an online donation method - simply click on the headline above to go directly to that site. At the present time all the meals at the Breadline are served as “to go”. The Breadline continues to serve 300 hungry men, women and children everyday. Please consider a donation to the Breadline to able them to continue serving these meals.
Shop at Barnes & Noble on Monday, November 23 and a percentage of your purchases will benefit the Blessed Sacrament School library. Just bring the Barnes & Noble Bookfair flyer (found on the School Fundraising page) with you. Teacher wishlists will be available at the store. You can also choose to shop online between November 23 and 28 - code and website are listed on the flyer. Click on the paragraph headline to go directly to the School Fundraising page.
The Teacher Salary Support Fund is specially designated to offset our teachers' salaries by giving them a well-deserved bonus at Christmas each year. The monies donated through the green parish envelopes throughout the year are combined with donations from school families, the PSA and the Men's Club. All donations are allocated to the teachers and staff once a year - at Christmas! Please consider a donation during this challenging school year by submitting the Parish Teacher Salary Support Fund envelope or an envelope on which you designate "Teacher Christmas Bonus Fund" by Monday, December 14. Thank you in advance for your support of our hard-working teachers and staff.
