"Mindful of the Eucharist as the fountain of life and holiness, we are the community of the Blessed Sacrament Parish."
With this mindfulness, we began perpetual adoration in January of 1997 under the direction of Father John Burnett, who had the Mothers' Chapel remodeled to accommodate both purposes. Since that time, scheduled adorers have come before the Lord in the monstrance and lifted up their hearts in prayer twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, as well as all many other parishioners and visitors. Our mission statement also says, "We will strive to live our lives guided by the Holy Spirit." Through His inspiration we have been able to continue to respond to this call to prayer and recollection as Jesus calls us, "Come to me all you that labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest."
The Blessed Sacrament is exposed for veneration in the chapel of the church twenty four hours a day. Public visitors are welcome from 5:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. Scheduled adorers are praying for all of us between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m.
Thank you for considering spending time with the Holy Eucharist in the Chapel. Check the current bulletin for times that we need coverage. You may also contact David and Karen Senger for more information.
