In 2018, a special opportunity presented itself for Blessed Sacrament to be the home of an original statue of Saint Teresa of Calcutta, created by world-renowned bronze sculptor, Timothy P. Schmalz. This statue is the first of it's kind and will be dedicated in a ceremony at Blessed Sacrament in fall 2020.
This effort was initiated through a generous gift by the Schmidt family who desired that the statue be placed in an area where adults and children will see the statue often as a reminder of our responsibility as Christians to care for the poor.
Another original work by the artist, Angels Unaware, was recently installed at St. Peter's Basilica in Vatican City. Click HERE to watch a video about this inspiring work of art.

We are excited to announce that our one-of-a-kind statue, created by renowned sculptor, Timothy P. Schmalz, was installed on the west side of the church. Thanks to the many contributors and to P.J. Staab and the Staab family for the pedestal and installation of the statue.
